Voting Systems 101

This course is designed to introduce a new user to the core election system. Topics covered are basic hardware configuration and testing for GEMS (not programming), AVOS precinct count, AVOSX precinct count, Encoder and TSX with and without the AVPM.

Voting Systems 201

This course is designed to build upon Voting Systems 101 and includes programming concepts in GEMS.  Class participants should expect to learn how to open, create, build, and test a GEMS database, as well as editing ballot layout.

Express Poll 101

An introduction to the Express Poll.  Upon completion, students will be able to perform basic poll worker-level tasks.

Express Poll 201

Build upon Express Poll 101 and teaches programming functions, software configuration, advanced troubleshooting and logistics.

AutoMARK Voter Assist Terminal

Prepares Students to conduct acceptance tests, troubleshoot, test memory cards, and perform logic and accuracy on the AutoMark Hardware.

AutoMARK Information Management System (AIMS)

Provides training on using AIMS software to configure ballots. It covers importing GEMS data into AIMS, basic ballot setup, proofing ballots, editing ballot configurations, and basic troubleshooting.

DRS PS900/PS960

Students leave with an understanding of how the DRS scanner works along with basic maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.

Premier Central Scan (PCS)

This class will equip students to use PCS in conjunction with a variety of scanning devices.  We will cover the entire program including how the program interfaces with GEMS and Assure Security Service.

VoteRemote

Students learn the entire scope of the VoteRemote Suite including the web client, the AVES software, scanner operation, and use of Automated Signature Recognition (ASR).
